Shoutout to Bravado for the meme

I’m obsessed with the art of writing great cold emails.

So whenever I get an outbound email that catches my attention, I’ll save it.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Day 1 Email:

This is my go to for kicking off an outbound sequence or sending one-off.

Four sentences. That’s all you need.

Signals to use - hiring, growth, job changes, product launch etc.

Ideas to try - reference their boss, investors, competitors etc.

Challenge Emails:

I love the subject line and first sentence here.

A relevant question + personal reference will help improve your open rates.

Challenge the status quo, then tease the promise land.

Forwarding Emails:

Was skeptical of this play. The data made me a believer.

  • Avg day 1 email reply for our SDRs = 3%

  • Avg day 1 email reply with forwarded = 6.1%

This is a template you can create to make prospects feel exclusive (see below).

Best to get your CXOs approval first.

Funny Emails:

99% emails are text only and boring to read. So most get ignored.

A good meme always hits.

Typically, these work best as a 3rd or 4th email in your sequence.

Templates to Copy

For your convenience, I added each of these into a doc for you to copy/paste.

P.S. I reply to all emails.
