One of the many great things about working in tech sales is more companies are giving people the week between Christmas and New Year's off.
Now, in sales you’re never truly off unless you’ve already pulled in all deals or punted until next year.
I'm somewhere in between —recently started a new role and don't have the full weight of carrying quota yet.
Here's how I'm taking advantage of the break:
Do something that clears your head - it’s going to be 70° in Atlanta which means it’s golf weather
Reconnect with what matters - flying north to see family in Buffalo and catch the Bills vs. Eagles game
Create space to think forward - planning a mountain getaway to map out reflections and goals
I hope whatever you do with your time away, you actually do it. Not the thing where you're on a ski lift checking if legal sent the redlines.
Two things before you go...
Year-end review template - I'm a big fan of doing year-end reviews. Here's the template I've been using the last couple years from Modern Wisdom if you want to do your own: Link here.
Last-minute gift guide - If you're still scrambling for gifts (no judgment, been there), I put together a quick list of things that actually work for the sales people in your life: Link here.
See you in the new year,
TSG
P.S. I reply to all emails.
